Hello SMS students and parents:

 

My name is Melanie Vasquez and I am thrilled to serve as the Sanger Middle School Assistant Principal.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington and began my teaching career.  I have extensive experience in middle school teaching Math, Science and Social Studies in grades 6 and 7.  I then decided to return to UTA for a Master of Education and principal certification. I have been in education since 2000 and am excited to be the middle school administrator.  

 

Outside of school, I am a mom.  I have two beautiful boys.  My oldest is a junior and my younger one is in 8th grade  The most spoiled of my children is my fur baby, Shadow the Pomeranian. I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and pizza.   

 

We are looking forward to an exciting school year.  We are excited to allow your students to experience all of the wonderful opportunities that we have to offer.  For instance, students will have the opportunity to learn to create with our 3-D printers, use ipads, and choose from a multitude of extra curricular activities.
